Fall 2017. Hawaii Preparatory Academy students after school community service program decorate trash and recycle cans with positive conservation messages in multi languages. The Aloha Box, Cans and signs are part of the Ocean Environment and Education Stations In Hapuna Beach State Park.
America Recycles Day 11/15/17. Fifty HPA eighty grade students attend a Get the Drift & Bag It Puako Boat Ramp Cleanup. South Kohala Coastal Partnership is represented by Julia Rose who also is a guest speaker. Students completed for prizes for collecting the most trash and also received their next beach cleanup supply bag filled with conservation partner swag and educational brochures.
